Trail Blazer Over Heating?
#21
the reason the engine is overheating is because the airflow was not able to get through the engine because it was winding out harder than it could go. i have that problem all the time now when i ride my trail blazer cause i have a pipe on it and stuff. it will happen everyonce in a while. most of the time it will happen when you hit water.

Hi everyone, new to site. Redbull, where did you say that link was for the Mikuni carb PDF? I couldn't find it and could use it to keep the wife's Trailblazer up to snuff. Never mind I found it thanks anyway!

the fins on the head arent a vrey big deal they only help when theres a substantial amount of air flowing through them . So if you are going slow or idleing all the time then heat will build. Ive over heated my tb and the results are not good. The piston in an air cooled machine takes on alot of stress, a hell of alot more than a liquid cooled machine thats for sure. After a couple years of lots of hard riding the cylinder and piston begin to warp, my cylinder was practically egg shaped. If you ever need to overbore go as little as possible( .060 over is as far as you can go without causing to much heat buildup.
