Does anyone know the cylinder and head torque specs for a 99' 400L? My cylinder is on the way back from Ritter after a meltdown incident. Just need to know the specs so I can put her back together when it arrives.

 

You really need to get you a manual to get everything right when you assymble your motor.But the head bolts 17-18 ft lb base is 25-29 ft lb

 

Thanks for the info. Where can I purchase a tech manual for a Sport? All I have in my inventory is the manuals for a 250 Racer and a CR. Since then I moved up in the world and bought some Polaris's.

 

Clymer makes a real good one that covers all yrs and models.the one I have goes from 85-95 but the 400Ls havent changed.

 

I believe you can still get the Polaris service manual for them for around $30 ( at least that's what I gave for mine at the dealership). Very good service manual I might add.
