Nicely said Rick, That is the way I read you!!! By the way, I just got done installing that Dalton spring you sent, into
my friends sp500ho, and it was everything and more than he was hoping for!!! Man If I had a 500 it would be
the first thing I'd do. It really hits hard when the clutch enguages (only if you nail the throttle from a stop) and
pulls so hard you can actually wheelie this thing in high range if you try hard enough!!! I'm afraid to pull against him
with my 600 this weekend!!!!! Thanks again RCR!!!!!!!!!!!

Grant Miller ,
I could squeeze a bit more (read small bit ) more Rpm's out of your motor , this will come at the expence of higher engagements on the clutch .
I think in talking to you and reading your note I have you where you want to be .
You should be recieving your parts from me today , when you get it going let me know if I did what you expected .

You should be awefully close to what others jet to .
In most cases the needle setting is the most important , because unless you are on a staright stretch of road or sand it is not easy finding a place one can hold the throttle open for much over 8 - 10 seconds .
The needle in your trail mod carburetor should be fine .
A 175 - 178 main jet and the needle CLIP one click lower than than stock should be about where you end up .
Thanks for everything ,
Rick
