Shifting Bullet

Got a question for yall.....is this what holds the shift shaft in its place? If ya look at the parts list it goes in kinda the side. If so was gonna try and pull it and look at it.?

you wanna know what holds the shaft on?if so go here #8 and #12 hold it on..

Ya but there has to be something on the end of it to put it in gear in the gearcase.
