Well if it turns out to be true this is the best news of the year!

 

that a pretty big segment growing,,,all new atv engine are going EFI,,,
you'll not see any stronger than 50 hp stock,but with minor mapping
changes and dual exhaust,that thing can be turned pretty mean,but the aftermarket is dead in that area,,so time will tell but it's target segment for now,,,let's see what they will offer to respond to v-force 700 from kawa,fit and finish become better and on...

 

i cant wait to see the 750 prairie and the 800 polaris in action see which machine is better who knows kawi might make another great machine

Well, when I bought my 600 over a yera ago, he told me that an 800 would probably not be too far away, as that
is what the 600/700 sportsman engine was designed after-the 800 twin (or 798 or something) that is already
in their watercraft. And now he confirmed he actually saw the complete bike with 800 engine in it, at the
factory! What he wouldn't tell me is anything about the chassis or suspension... But from what I've heard is
that polaris is making some really big changes! Could it be a v-force fighter???? or just a new version of
they already great sportsman???

They will most likely be dropping in the Liberty engine from their Frontier sled. Hopefully with some improvements because it is troublesome to say the least. This engine has been around since 2002. Can't recall the exact HP rating but I believe it was 55.

Yes, you are correct. My dealer said that polaris will have an 800cc for 2005. He also sells kawasaki's and said there will be a 750efi prairie and a 850efi brute force with IRS. He showed me the pictures this last Saturday and it looks very nice. It will still be a v-twin and the polaris will still be a parallel twin.
