Default stuck!!

Hey guys...just thought id tell ya about my weekend....we had 3 brand new 700 efi's all riding together this weekend....we realy puttem through there paces...in the mud...just had em barried....and winched em out and wow was it great.....flawless performance.....but no matter how good things seem to be going...there always a problem that arises.....and here it is

Now my 700 efi is about 3 weeks old and havent used the winch till yesterday and used it maybe 5 times....and we are now in a swamp and the mud and water was pretty deep....just the way i like it......well any way...my buddy took the easier route across this one area...and made it pretty good......now me on the other hand having the winch and all not to worried about getting stuck....take the longest route.....well i hit this water hole that was pretty deep...and then got up on some higher ground where the water wasnt so deep......and then thats where the problem started.....i was sinking and couldnt go any where....i was like owell..no big deal...just hook the winch to my buddy who made it...and yank my self out right....well my new warn STOPPED WORKING>.....i was so Pi**ed i was flippin out.....well to make a long story short...we got it out by free wheelin the winch and pullin me out....then wrapped the cable on the rack and strapped her down.....made it home cleaned off all the mud....and then today i started working on it...and here when the dealer installed the winch...they never crimped the red wire that puts power to the switched when the keys on......i was releaved that it was only that...but yet very upset.......

But other then that.....we all are very happy wiht our 700's...just awesome machines...and they took just about anything we threw at them......

very satisfied....

we might be goin back out this weekend...if everyone can get away...so this time were gonna take the digital and get some pics...and then ill post....

Later all

Luke

I too wonder that quadracer.... thats why i normally install everything on my own...then i dont have anyone to blame but myself.......the only reason i let them do it...is because they said they would install it and have everything ready while i got the paper work done....owell...live and learn i guess......ahahhaha

and btw i have a freaking awesome time....im ready to do it all over again.....in the words of the to the tiger....GRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEAAAATTTTT!!!

Par for the course! I had a thread on here a couple of months ago about my experience with the dealers "expert" winch installer. None of the wires to the contactor were crimped correctly and installation was shoddy. I forced them to return my money for the install which they did. I have since redone the entire wiring install myself to far greater professional and exacting standards. I will NEVER set foot in Powerhouse of Paso Robles again because of the BS that they put me through. I would suggest that you recheck EVERYTHING your dealer did so you aren't left hanging again.

yes polaris in my opnion are about the best there is in the mud ,but I will tell you I am very dissapointed with these badlands tires on my 04.5 HO they are useless in thick mud ,they aren"t to bad in loose watery mud holes ,but when in mud holes that are drying up and the mud is thick and sticky the treads seem to fill full of mud and it stays there turning the tire into a slick ,I was out riding with a friend who has a 350 wolverine with mudlites on it and he was showing me up in the mud ,let me tell you that is embarrassing,my old polaris 400 xploder with mudlites was unstopable in any type of mud ,these things have got to go ,probably mudlites again or maybe some bear claws.

trenchdigger i agree....but we only have a few mud holes that are that sticky gooy mud.....and in the other mud wholes they seem to do ok.....but i was a lil disapointed that they got rid of the rawhides...i bet they did ok in the mud..........

What size tires could i throw on the sportsman...i want to stay as close to stock size as possible.??

I think that I am going to try 26-12-12 on the back and 26-9-12 on the front and they will probably be mudlites to try and keep the weight down.
