If i were to buy a muffler intended for a different quad and welded it to my existing pipe, would that work of would it cause problems?

I know of a few mufflers for a few different quads i can get cheap brand new but with a scratch on em.

I dont think it would hurt it at all. But the mounting brackets and possibly the inlet diameter would be different.
