Default tire size changes on predator

Right now i have stock 20x11x10 razrs on rear and 21x7x10 on the front, im looking at 22x11x10 kenda klaws would there be any down sides to this besides having to change my gearing to compensate . Which i want a little more low end any way. Would a 13 tooth front be too much, or should i just go up a tooth or 2 on the rear to get a little more low end? Or should i just go with stock size klaws all the way around? i like the low end power but i still want to be able to keep up with about anything around here which is some modded z400's, dvx's, modded warriors, blasters and a few bikes. i am faster than them now but i want more low end but not so much as that i have to worry about them catching up too much if that is possible.

If you change to 22" rears your going to want to get at least 22" fronts. If not its going to make the front end real darty, which is bad on the predator since it has such quick steering already. Personally I would go on up to 23" fronts to make sure that your front end will ride higher than your rear. This is very important to having a good handling quad. The down side to going this tall on both front and rear is that you will get alot more shoulder roll in the tires. Causing a wallowy feel to them when cornered aggresively. Personally unless the majority of your trails offer clearance issues I'd stay with the factory sizes(21"/20"). It gives the best compromise of handling vs. clearance. The predator already has the most ground clearance of any of the sport quads I've ever ridden.

If you do decide to go with the 22" rears, then yes I would gear it up. Either a 13t front or a 39t rear will work well. You will loose some of your top-end, but with the change to the tire size it shouldn't be as severe as if you kept 20" rears and changed to a 13t front.
