I change my hub fluid about 5 times a season for the same reasons as you kat because it is very cheap and easy

i dont get it. if the hub is empty and you havent noticed any leaks, where does the fluid go?

do they need to be checked often?

I just purchased my ATV used a while back, so I would not have seen the leaking oil, if that is how it disapeared.
