SP700 EFI Throttle Problem
#1
I have read in other forums that some folks are having problems with their throttle sticking in hard right turns. Some feller crashed his ATV into a brick wall because of it. I have also heard rumors of a possible recall because of it. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think I would hit the kill switch or the ignition switch before I hit a wall, but thats just me.
Alright ya''ll this isn't rocket science, to check yours out here is what you do. With the bike in "P" or "N" start it let it warm up a little, while idling turn the handle bars to the left and right limit. There should be NO change in the idle at all. If there is take it to your dealer so he can reroute your throttle cable, or do it yourself it isnt that darn hard.
I only know of one bike thats had this problem, so it isn't that wide spread.

My EFI had this problem, the throttle cable was catching on the CPU under the hood. It didn't always do it but it was a little unnerving when it did. I added a few zip ties and that worked for about 3 weeks and it started doing it again. Had it at the dealer for some clutching issues last week and had them reroute the cable. I had no problems last weekend but only time and more miles will tell for sure. What they did was run the cable in the same place they did on the other sportsmans but they don't have the CPU right in the way. Some engineer didn't think it through the whole way, that's all. If you own an EFI I'd take the hood off and check it just to be sure.
