Default hot battery!

Sealed battery overheated and was whistling like a tea pot. Is this a regulator/rectifier problem? No quick access to tester. Dealer quoted $215 - not sure he looked up the right part! Will check partsland from another post.

Not sure which part you got quoted on. Check out Partsland to verify pricing. Should be a little cheaper than dealer. Let us know exactly what part you need and we can steer you to other sites as well.

Checked the voltage at the battery with the TB idling-about 14. When I reved it up a little, voltage exceeded 19! Did check with Partsland. Looks like its called a "module-electronic control. If its the right part its still $199 on their website!

Is there any other option someone has come across? We've had this thing less than two years!

Its definitely a rectifier regulator problem (19 whoo cooking that batt). Have you looked on ebay?

No luck on Ebay-bad thing is no other quad seems to need a $200 rectifier. I guess I'm the lucky one. Is there anyone to ask if a different model's rectifier would cross over to a TB?

From the link that you provided, it looks like all the other Polaris 330 machine's Electronic Control Module will fit (they are the same part #) So, if you can find one from the magnum 330 or ATP 330, that will work too.

No luck with same part on other models - still $200. Did talk to Partsland and they've never sold one of these. Recommended checking for loose wires, etc before ordering since electrical parts are not returnable. Does anyone know how to tell if the rectifier is bad other than too high a voltage coming in to battery? If I could verify rectifier was ok, then I could start looking between it and battery.
