lemme re-state what i said because you are right... the rims arent junk... but the tires are.
the pred also comes with the douglas rolled edge wheels... those are nice.

 

Hosed is right, its not the standard .190's they do suck, but the Pred comes standard with the Ultimate conventional wheels. Like Hosed said its the rolled shoulder, not the standard non-rolled lip like on the .190's. I was VERY dissapointed with the std .190's. I'll never buy another wheel unless it has a rolled lip or a reinforment ring on it. Even the 190's bend to easily. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

And even though the stock Razr's on the pred slide around quite a bit, they're WAY better than the junk dunlops that come standard on the 450R. They're the same style of tire that comes stock on the Raptor, and we all know how much better the raptor handles after you swap out the junk stocker tires. I imagine the same holds true for the new R....

There's also a considerable weight differnece in the tires too. The Pred tires and rims weigh 13lbs more the the 450R tires.

 

I have had my 450r for about 2 months. My wife just brought home a predapuss. I asked her to trade and she shot me down. I will get to ride it a little, I hope.

If the r had electric start it would be different. Don't consider the hard seat cuz the 500 seat sucks, also.

I didn't know that the Predator came with rolled edge Douglas. That is definitely a lot better wheel than a standard Douglas.

I agree with the tire thing. I don't like the Dunlops on the R. My favorite knobby used to be the Ohtsu 501s (400ex, 250R) but now my favorite rubber is the YFZ 450 Dunlop rears.

 

i dont care what ya do... i just think they are stupid...

and i also like the yfz stock tires... i just wish they came in an 18 inch tire that was a little stiffer.
