Default irratic idle??

well i just changed the pilot to a 30 so wouldnt that mean it would be running richer? but when it is idling irractly doesnt that mean its not getting enough gas. wen u first start it its really smokey so im happy to know its rich but then again if u put ur brake on when u riding with it idling like this it pings again when its in drive its revving high enough to engage the belt and it will roll slowly from a stop but roll fast when u let off the gas wit out hitting the brake. kinda like a car. could it be due to not fixing the throttle adjustment on teh throttle line? i know i tightened it before because it was idling to low? should i loosin that?

You might check for a vaccum leak between the carb and the intake......a motorcycle of mine did something like that and that was what i found.
