Looking for a recomendation for secondary cluch settings.
#1
I figured I would play with my clutches a little. My quad only has a filter on it. Nothing else performance wise. I had to replace my clutch buttons. So I did so with the aluminum ones. I was wondering what I should put my stock spring setting at. I am not sure where I put it back at. It was the first time I took one appart and I didn't notice where it was at. I have a lot of tall hills, and not a lot of open room to really open it up. If I put the stock spring in the 2-2 setting do you think it would be OK?
One other problem I am still haveing is a bumping/poping noise on take off. it goes away at about 10mph or so. or within 20 feet or so. HPD seems to think the internal chain in my trans is skipping. I really notice it if I am on the street turning hard and giving it a little more gas. IF I do this turning Left, and look at the L rear tire I can see it skip forward a little when I get the poping noise.
HPD wanted me to check the slack in my secondary clutch. Anyone have a good idea on checking this. HPD told me but I couldn't figure it out corectly.
Another thing. Is it normal to have ware inside the clutch cover from the belt? My case is completely shot. The front clutch has cut its way through the cover. I guess The cover was heat warped. It has cracks all over it also. Just something else to replace.
