i found some oil in the bottom of my airbox i do not know where it came from. im not even sure if its oil or not. does anyone have any ideas what to do and where it came from.

 

Have you rolled your ATV recently?...oil will spill into your airbox if you flip it...and to avoid getting oil in there don't flip it lol...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

Did you roll the quad or have it on its side? Usually when the quad is tilted significantly, it will leak oil into the air box. How much oil is in there?

Clean your filter and drain the air box. Then check your engine oil level. You're ready to go ridin.

i just got the k&n how do u guys clean them out?

 

You need to go to your dealer and buy a K&N Recharge kit. It comes with the cleaner, oil and directions to maintain your filter. Cost is about $15. Well worth the price. Your filter will last forever.

if the KN filter gets wet, it will drip red oil from the filter into the airbox.

I got mine wet when I washed it one time and had a mess the next day in the bottom of my airbox.
