LOL you guys are funny....Nothing is even close to compareable you can stand the thing on its back wheels with ease its ridiculous. dual exhaust with efi and more travel suspension, new design, more storage, brighter lights, backup lights, lock and ride accessory system, chrome wheels, better half shafts......Dont he jealous just because you dont own the baddest 4wd quad.

I'm not jealous, I'm going to read everything I can get my hands on comparison-wise and then either buy a KQ700 or a SP800 as my second quad. I'm not drinking the HATORADE that others are drinking in here. LOL

I agree with you 100%.

The Sportsman line goes up in 100cc increments (400, 500, 600, 700 and now 800). It wouldn't make sense for them to call it the SP760
Polaris has the 330 lineup, they just wanted to sound a lot bigger than kawisaki and suzuki. Shameless marketing ploy.

BBS was talking about the Sportsmans, not the full Polaris line. Find me a 2003 to now that is anything other than 100s. You won't find one....

I really think that Polaris started out at 760 just to say it is the biggest this year. Next year if yamaha, suzuki, honda or one of the others comes out with something bigger then 760, say 783cc. Polaris can up the cc's in the future to something under 800cc to keep pace and still call it the "800". Like Mrzeeedler said, look at all the upgrades to the whole Sportsman line, not just the new 800. Not everyone wants or can afford a new 800. Maybe they would be happy with a 400 Sportsman. Show me another company where their other lower priced models have all the upgrades that their top of the line model has. Other then EFI all the lower priced Sportsman models have everything the 800 has.

The engine was designed around the 800 4stroke snowmobile engine and has always been 760cc's. Maybe we should give them the extra 25 bcc's from the SP400 and you guys will be happier!! ALL OF THE MANUFACTURERS DO THIS!! If it didn't sound cool to say 660 then Yamaha would have called that thing a 700!

The sp line definately has some good upgrades. It would have been nice to have kept the rack extenders on the 500 and also efi would have made the sp 500 HO a almost perfect machine!!!!!

yamaha called their grizz a 660 because people thought of the raptor and people thought that the grizzly would be as fast and everything. its all hype. I do not think it is right that polaris called it an 800 when it really isnt though. hey, might as well call my trailblazer 250 a 300.
