RCR STAGE 1 Accelaration
hey, i have posted something like this before but i have another question. Ok, when my 250 trailblazer is cold (like the first time i start it up) it has REALLY good power, but once i ride it around for a little bit the power goes away, i assume because the engine gets hot because its air cooled. Now, what i need to know is with the rcr stage 1 kit in it, after i ride it for a while, will it run as good as it would stock when i just started it up? Also, i know when the engine is fairly warm i can get to my top speed of 48 in around 20 seconds. Does anyone know how long it takes to get to the top speed with the rcr stage 1 kit? thanks alot.

My 300 would act like that. Have plenty of power until it warmed up.
My problem was the air screw on the carb. I found the factory spec to turn it out to and adjusted it and now I can ride it long distance and it runs the same at every point in between

I thought it was because the motor was air cooled. because i know when I ride it for a while and stop, and pin it, it hesitates for about 1 1/4 seconds before it even moves. where is this air screw located and is it hard to adjust? how did you find the right adjustment?

I don't know the spec on your machine, but yes, the air screw is very easy to adjust.
It's located on the right hand side of the carb, near the intake. Once you get the correct spec, you just bottom out the screw (lightly, you dont wanna strip it out), then back it out the number of times the spec tells you. My machine is 1.5 turns out from bottom.
Mine was closer to 2.5 when I turned it in, heh.
