I own a 400 and imagine the 500 to be more than enough to do any hunting tasks. My 400 will go 55 on the flats andI can easily pull a trialer with 1000 lbs on it. this weekend I pulled a huge 500 lbs rock out of the front lawn at camp...had to pry it the rock up to get it started out of the hole it was in but it dragged it up the hill and into the bush no problem at all. I was going to go with the 500 at first but got a real deal on this machine so I went for it! It has lived up to every expectation and more in the 350 miles I have got on it so far! It has been up to the racks in water four or five times[going slow mind you] and has been up hills so steep that if you stoped you would tumble down...needless to say I have scared the %%$# out of myself more than a few times! Just make sure to get at least the 2500 lbs winch !
