Default Which sprockets for a 99 sport 400

I went with JT sprockets 13 front and 38 rear. I found out after I ordered them that I have a 36 rear. So this will give me more torque. Im not in to the speed part of it anyway. We mainly ride on trails and open it up it a couple of spots.

Im sure i can still beat my brother in laws warrior so ill be all set.

OK... I hope you guys are still around and have email notification.....
Because I am CON-FUSED......

I think I am going to go pick up a nice Sport 400 tomorrow... which I have rode, and I think it needs a little more bottom end grunt for slow riding to make it more rider friendly when my wife wants to putt around on it. So I was reading old posts, looking at clutch/pipe combos and etc...

Then I ran across this thread and realize I am sort of lost...
I realize I know less than I thought about the PVT.

I had not considered different sprocket gearing ratios because of the PVT.

The way it sounds here, the PVT must be more simple in operation than I had originally thought. So all the PVT does is change the gearing ratio of the belt between the engine and trans... based on engine rpm basically?

So you can change sprocket gearing ratios at the chain and effectively change the final gearing for more low end, different tire sizes, etc....
