Oil in my airbox, 04 Pred.
Hi everyone, I have a 04 troy lee predator with a KN filter. It has started putting oil into the air box and was wondering if this is normal? I dont think it should do this and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so how did you fix it. Thanks

the oil comes from the crank case breather tube...
Make sure you didn't over fill the oil. It will blow the excess out the breather tube and into your airbox.
Also, if you have tipped it over or rolled it, it will flow through into the airbox.
I disconnected mine from the airbox and put a crank case filter on the end of it. If it is rolled over, it just saturates the filter with oil and minimizes the loss. You just hop back on and ride. They're about 10 to 15 bucks.

There might be a way to fix that oil in the air box problem. I have been thinking about getting a longer hose to go from the crank case to the air box. Then just route the longer hose forward past say the carb or the front of the motor under the tank and then back to the air box. Then with the pred vertical the oil wont be able to run into the air box. What do you guys think?
At the very least you would be able to stand the preds up to really clean the bottom of it without oil in the airbox.
