1.what does HO stand for
2.what does it look like
3.is it the same as my 2000sp500
4.what is the difference between a SP500 HO and a regular sp500
i never seen one but i heard of them before on this forum
NO HILL TO STEEP...NO HOLE TO DEEP...RIDE HARD...GO DEEP...SPORTSMAN 500!!!!!!

HO stands for high output. it is the same engine as the scrambler 500 (bigger carb, hotter cam). it also has new breaks, steel braided break lines and a new instrument pannel. it uses the same frame and plastic as the old sp500. it is supposed to retail for the same price. i have heared they rock and roll. mabey it is time to trade in my 99....

SPORTSMAN500,
Go to the front page of atvconnection, they have an article there to answer all your questions.

Since their are alot of people here with sp500's I'd like to ask a couple of questions....
tell me...do the Spotsman 500's throw you off your seat if you gun it fast, my dad thinks a sp500 would be way too powerful since we are starting too look for a new ATV and I like the 500's alot, do you think it would be too big for me??(I'm 15 at 5'11 1/2" and 185lbs.)
I sat on a sp500 and they are so awsome, too bad I couldn't ride it. Maybe we should look at the 400 when it comes out.

I am the same size 5 11 and 185 and it is perfect the power is gradual and doesn't kick in like a 2 stroke. Very smooth power. The 2001 HO wil have more kick but nothing that is to wild.

The 400 SP should be a good ATV.
