Default Need help on a '99 500

All of a sudden I have a loss of power on my 500. It runs fine when you first start it. Once it is warmed up it will idle fine but boggs bad at higher rpms. Also if you are going slow and try to climb any small hill it bogs. This a low hour machine that hasn't given any trouble till now.I checked both jets and the float and it has a new plug in it. Anyone have any ideas??????????

Is it dusty where you ride? Even with low hours it could need a clean air filter and might be easy to overlook.

i agree, check the air filter. Mine does the same thing, and its very possible that your air filter is dirty.

Could be the exhaust lobe on camshaft. Mine did the same thing. Would really bog on higher rpms. Figured it out after we replaced the needle and plug. The 99's had some bad shafts. My dealer told me that some when out at 500 miles while others waited until later. We replaced the camshaft and rocker arms.
