mine does have that ill pull it out I hope that solves the problem thanks a lot. It's a real skinny probably about 2 inch rod right? maybe that is the reason why I am running a 190 main which i think is a lot higher than most modded scramblers.

You also mite wanna check the plug wire where it comes out of the coil. Mine was trying to come out on me Sunday, causing it to cut out.--- just before it **** the bed.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

CED i pulled out that brass rod that you said to and now as soon as you turn the gas on it just pours out of the overflow tube in the floatbowl [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] have any idea why?

 

check your carburator slide spring,with time it loosen a bit and then
didn't close the slide down when let off gas so engine die.
on the newer pwk 39 (for race only) they have and float bowl vent
tube through the carb wich solve the problem.

 

You may want to check the plunger in the seat and see if it is worn out.The rod you pulled out was in the bowl right ?

 

yes i pulled out the small brass rod in the bowl. the carb did not leak at all before i did this.

i have not even started the bike since i pulled it out, it pours out as soon as the gas is turned on.

 

Maybe try and give Darrell a call at HPD ,i never heard of this happening once the rod was pulled out.Let us know what you find.

 

what exactly was the purpose of that rod?
