Default Mounting GPS

I just bough a new personal GPS unit. I was wondering who has them and how did they mount them? I have been looking around and can't find anything. Any links to sites would be appreciated!

I have a Garmin Etrex mounted on the left handlebar. I bought a RAM mount from GPScity.com. I also purchaced a 12v power supply cord (Ebay) that plugs into the pod power supply so I'm not using up the batteries on the GPS. The RAM mounts are awesome. They can be adjusted to several positions for a clear view from any position. Hope this helps. I have pictures of all this if you want to look at them.

I got the bicycle handle bar mount, which was about 12 bucks, and i have it attached to the front rack. Its protected, and out of the way, but still easily readable while riding. Its a simple clamp, that will grab any thing from 3/4 inch to 1 inch, round.

I have seen the Ram Mounts and they look great. My question is how do you keep the GPS dry and dust free?

Most gps units are water resistant. My etrak has been thru mud holes and pouring rain, and still works fine. Just dont hold it under water for very long, they arent water proof.
If the screen, gets dusty, resist the urge to wipe it...I scratched mine, trying to wipe dust/dirt/sand off. Ive seen some guys, put the gps in zip lock bags, and then mount it. If i knew i was going someplace really muddy and nasty, Id do that.

That's why I bought a Garmin Etrex...It IS waterproof. I don't worry about the elements. I mainly use mine for hunting and I didn't want to worry about a little water. I've left it on the handlebar thru a downpour and never had a problem.

I bought a new magellan first of the year an then bought a bicycle mount for it. I mounted it near my Brake master cylinder, which had to be loosened a bit until I got it all tightned up.. Now its right there at myhand, easy to read and solid..
