The MSO/Title is what determines model year.

 

The same thing is done with cars. Mine was built sometime 1995 but it is a 1996 model. My Scrambler is a 2000 year but was made in 1999.

 

Yeah I know what you all are saying...but that is not what I mean... I think the one guy had a blue scrambler...which would be an 03' I believe and he was told it was an 04'...so it woulda been produced in 02'. I'm not talking about when it was produced i'm talking about the year they are out for. Like some of the predators would of been made in 02' but their first year was 03' I understand all of that. I'm just saying that this dealer might try to sell u an 03' pred and say it is an 04'.

 

Do Quads use a "cut-off" date????? Like cars I think is the 4th month??????? for example a car built in 03-01 is an 2001, where as a car built in 07-01 is a 2002. Do quads have a set date?

 

I am not sure on that but it doesn't matter...if the model of the quad u are buying is the 03' model no matter when it was made then u dont sell it to someone saying it is the 04'
