Bubba, What weights would I use with the red/yellow spring? My guess is S58. I'm running the 10AL with the plain spring now. I would like to trail port it this winter. I thought about trying that myself too but I think I'll leave it to the pros. PM about having you do a trail port. Please.

I was going to say unless you have it ported, go with the stock weights. The s-58 weights will pull down a non-ported motor while it's shifting out a little too much.

Have any of you guys seen any premature clutch wear? on sleds changing the flywheel weight can some times change the harmonics in the mtr which will wear the clutch out faster ususaly the wieghts and rollers it may not be a problem on a single cylinder mtr

It should work better for you, just make sure that you remove the factory thick clutch bolt washer and replace it with the thinner larger clutch washer designed for the 10 series weights.

get an race lightening flywheel and remove that junk electric starter
then go straight with the pull rope starter.
