Default sportsman light modifications

Hello,
I have a 2004 1/2 sportsman 700. Does anyone know how to do the light modification to get all 3 lights going at the same time?
Thanks

I read somewhere that if you put the switch between high and low beam all three lights will work. I tried this last night and it works great. A little tricky to get the switch to stay there but once you get it your good to go...

I found that you can purchase these light modification kits on ebay for $7.50 or less. I bought one and installed it which only took a few minutes. Some of them even offer free shipping. Here is a link to one of the listings from the seller I used.

I know a lot of people have put on the sportsman light modification, but haven't heard if it caused any problems. I purchased a kit about a month ago and haven't installed it yet. My Sportsman is only 2 months old. The last thing I want is to burn the existing switch out or cause another problem. Should I be concerned or should I just install it?

Thanks.

If you have the relay version of the modification (see my pitcures for the wiring diagram) you won't have any problem putting to much current through the headlight switch. If you use the diode version the current for all three lights must go through the headlight switch and IMO you run the risk of burning it out. A replacement switch is about $60, so do what ever your comfortable with.
