Default auto tranny issues

Hello all new to the polaris group, just purchased a used 93 4x2 350 model. Ive noticed a issue when it seems to get warm will not shift into high gear. If your familar with this model it has a 'L N R H' shifter on the right side and if I put into 'H' it will only sit a chatter like its trying to go into gear but wont move on sit and chatter as its trying... is this a Known problem or just typical worn out tranny and needs rebuilding??? also any know what a rebuild for these babys costs???

Well thx to searching these forums I found a place to purchase a manual for this... normally motorcycles are like working on cars(to me) for the most part they are same EXCEPT for little incidentials.... but always need a manual for torque specs and what not.... its always nice to get familar with the repair manual since I didnt get a owners manual on the unit... thx

Exactly. A service manual is a must with the machines
