Default Brother is dyno-tuning Pred. Couple questions?

Saturday my brother is taking his pred to be dyno tuned. Right now he has the Polaris pipe on with a Pro-com CDI. He just got his CFM Airbox and wants to get the most out of it. What jetting would be a good starting point with the pipe with 10 disk and airbox? Also is there any other things he should do before he goes? Also what do you think he will get for a HP reading?

10 discs in an e-series does not flow very much.

His 20" Kenda Klaws. He called and asked if they used slicks, or had tires. They said just bring what you got because that will give you true HP numbers. Slicks can inflate HP numbers.

True, but he also needs to keep noise level within reason.

I'd say a 160 or so...and a 50 pilot. I'd guess around 40hp at the wheels on stock tires. Have the tires inflated as much as possible... Some dynos read high and some read low.....many factors will come into play when dynoing.....you can dyno on one dyno and then take it down the street to someone elses dyno and get a different reading....so if your doing it to see how much the mods made a difference then make sure you always go back to the same dyno. let us know what he dynos..im curious.

The shop should have a sniffer to let him prejet. I know we do this. Also a shop that discourages slicks on the dyno in my honest opinion is not much help. A slick may inflate the numbers but it also is the only tire with enough contact surface to give reliable readings over and over. A tire with a **** tread pattern will heat and could possibly slip as they wear since they will quite fast if you make many pulls.
I have seen guys running the white brothers pipe on the predator and they are jetting in the neigborhood of 155 - 165 here and running one larger on the pilots and it seems to give them clean mix readings on the sniffer. A dyno without a sniffer only leaves you guessing if the pipe comes on where you want it or not and that is the whole idea with the rings is to adjust the pipe to your liking.
