Carb retro fitting

hey can i use a 38 mm carb off of a polaris snowmobile on my 99 400 scrambler?

Dazed,

No, the snowmobile carbs use a different type of fuel delivery system. Instead of gravity feed (like on a quad) it uses a fuel pump. Jack tried this when he put the Bozwell carb on his Sport several years ago. It turns out he recieved the wrong carb and never could get it to run right. Once he had the correct gravity fed carb, it worked like a charm.

I could always transplant a fuel pump onto the frame. Would that work then. Also if i did that i would need an impulse line to run the pump, any idas where i would coonect that to?
