Hey chris I was just wondering if you got thoes pics yet??? I wasn't sure how long it would take for them to get to you.

The sp400 is going to be a good maching that 425 four stroke engine they put in that was always a good running engine. I wish that they would have put the 400 2 stroke in that frame and suspension, then you would have had the ultimate 4-wheeler!!

clindst,

Good eyes man.
Doesn't look any different form the 500.

If we get a new ATV maybe we should look at that one...the 500 would throw you because of it's power, a 400 would be better for me.

Hey that picture is on the main page and is courtesy of ATV television. It is in the begining of each show. But good eyes. I wonder when POlaris is going to change their website. It makes me mad when people dont update their sites each bis. day. Take a look at www.yamahamotor.com it is updated a year from the day. I.E. Updated: August 16, 2001. Man they must know their stuff!!!!!

Thats no Sportsman 400 there. first of all, teh sportsman 400 used the old polaris body style, and to prove its not a sportsman 400, look at the rear hub, its the same as the sportsman 500. On the 400 it is completely black, the only thing that sticks threw the rim is teh lugnut for the hub (covered with the polaris rubber deal) i have no clue what it reall is.. is it a sportsman with a 400 2 stroke stuffed in there instead? almost has to be

I know what i'm talking about. THe sportsman 400 used a rear swingarm setup, and if you look at that picture, you can see the same wheels as a sportsman 500, with the aluminum hub in the middle. On the swingarm models, you don't see that part of the hub (like on the Spt 400) i am 110% sure of this, i had to try to take off a wheel on one, too bad they had to use cheap casting around the bolts. I don't know exactly whats up with that thing, but its no sportsman 400

Yea the Sp400 was a 2stroke man and it was made a while ago and now there is a Sp400 and it is a 4 stroke to make up for the underpowered Sp335...That is a SP400 it has the same aluminum hub as the Sp500 and it has a IRS....

IT is a SP400

You can NOT compare it to any older model the Older SP400s were not IRS and were 2 stroke so this is just an upgrade to the Sp335...The Sp 400 has been discontinued for a while now

BUt this is the NEW Sp400

4stroke with IRS
jsut take a SP335 put a 400 4stroke in it and color it yellow
