The new Sportsman 400 uses a 425 motor and replaces the Sportsman 335. 33% more power. They say its a new 425 motor but I would guess its the the old Magnum 425 motor, its been a good reliable performer.

ok well.. if it is.. why would they call it a "sportsman 400" if they use the 425 motor, they'd call it the "sportsman 425" i mean, i've never heard of a Xpedition 400. i've yet to hear anything about this new model... can i see some links or something?
oh yeah, and i've already seen yellow Sportsman 335's, i was at my dealer friday and saw one

I think it is the 425 motor but not bored out to 425 just bored to 400

Yes, the new Dirtwheels has the SP 400 in it. It does, as others have said, use the 425 engine, same as the Xpedition 425. I think they should have called it the SP425, but hey, I don't call those shots.
But then again, lots of other companies do that. They will call the machine a 400 when it is really only a 380cc or something.
