The guy just wants to up grade his 250 and not find out he should have bought a 400.
A reed converted 250 will hang with modified 400's!

Here is the truth about the 250 race mod straight from HPD site.

" Race Mod 250 Reed Conversion Kit "

" For use on 1999 to 2004 250 Trail Blazers only. A complete kit will include all the parts needed. This kit takes your 22 horsepower 250 to 38-39 horsepower (using race gas). This kit will beat a stock 400 or 500 up to 50 MPH. You must send your cylinder and head to HPD for modifications. "

" NOTE: Requires 105 octane fuel. "

" PART # RMRCK2• LIST $1446.43 "

I do have the advantage of being able to go up against a modified 400. My brother has a piped
400 scrambler that basically has HPD's trail mod package on it. It has also been lightened and
the plastic is cut. We always time ourselfs on a 100 yard straightaway. My times are just as fast
as his by just hundreths of a second. It really pisses him off too! So now he changed his gearing.
We ran a good 1/2 mile and yes he did beat me by about 40 to 50 feet. Thats still not bad for a
250 I think!

the 250 trailblazer is my wife's ride. I just wanted it to have a little more ...well... ***** I guess. I ride a Bored, ported, cammed, etc 400 ex(i know). It seems this quad (250) handels well for her just needs more power for some of the long hills where we ride. We don't race just woods like Turkey Bay.

Last year at Loretta's trail ride it seemed like it would barely make it up some hills wide open.(new plug yes). It is totally stock, so the mods I want need to be easy to install and under $500.00.

Thanks for all the help.
