Breaking Secondary Buttons

one you have the clutch apart all you need is a torx bit to get the buttons out..

Yea 420 is right all you need is a torx to get the old ones out. I also put in the hpd hd buttons. If you go that rout you will need to do some grinding and drilling to mount the new buttons. In my case I had to also file the new buttons so they would seat right.

What are the differences between HPD's buttons and the stock buttons that would require you to grind down HPD's?

The screws for the HPD buttons go thru the housing from the back side.The grinding is very minimal.

Are the '02 trailblazers' secondary any different from that of the '03 model, because if you go to partsland.com, the diagram for the '03 secondary looks identical to the drive clutch

hwo do u tell if ur buttons are worn or broke without taking the secondary apart???
