you add big heavy wheels and tires and now you're worried about the front bumper being aluminum lmao

Default Scrammy Aluminum bumper??????????

I think I read somewhere that the older Scrambler 400 and sports had alum. front bumpers and floorboards. Polaris has 2 different part#'s for the bumper. At Bike Bandit the older Sram. 400 bumper(1040725-067) is $94.99, and the newer Sram. 500 bumper (1012773-067) is $79.99.
I bought a set of floorboards off Ebay from a 99 Scrambler and they were alum. the ones I took off my 03 Scram 500 were steel. I would suspect that the higher priced bumper is aluminum, at least thats the way the floorboard are. (1013249-067) steel 24.99 and (1013083-067) aluminum $45.99

Default Scrammy Aluminum bumper??????????

99 400 Scramblers and some newer 500 Scrambler 4x4 had aluminmum Bumper and Running boards and wheels., Everything looks the same (painted), but check with a magnet and you will find out.
It was in effort to offset the performace loss of the 4x4 and the performance loss of the 500 vs 400.

My 99 has them, My 2000 does not. Both Scrambler 4x4s

Default Scrammy Aluminum bumper??????????

scrambler123 the wheels and tires I added are not heaver than stock tires on steel rims. They are with in 2 oz of each other as I went to aluminum rims and yes a bit bigger tire but the mud lite is still the lightest "big" mud tire on the market. As for the bumper its more looks, I like polished pieces on my quad, but who cant stand to loose a little weight.
