Default temp sensor & pwk 39 question

I tried installing the 39 pwk carb to the reed cage boot & it won't fit. I asked Rick Ritter when I bought it if I would need any adapters/ different boots for the new carb.. He said the adapters would be fine, it would just be a tight fit against the tranny & might need to grind a apart of the case. How do I get this to fit? Question 2- I had to get another temp sensor (the one on the head), where do I wire it up to? Thanks, Justin

I'll try a little harder tomorrow but it didn't seem close to going on. Anyone w/ a older sportsman feel like tracing a wire?
