it goes good... and with reverse on the 05's it will be even better. the wide stance and zero bumpsteer work great for handling... and it has good power to move you along fast enough to scare ya.

The pred is great on the trails, can take on most anything. The bump steer is great to, especially when you catch the tire on a tree. But I have to agree the reverse would be great to have, so you dont have to get off just to back up a few inches. I would trade my pred for anything

I bought my Predator for trail riding and love it! The only times I wish I had something else is when I find deep mud or very deep water.

You can go through alot of water after you reroute the big line coming off the carb. I cut mine 6" and routed it trough the frame by the gas tank. Your dealer can print out how to due this if needed.

I play in sandy areas so I don't have to worry too much about mud. I have driven it through some pretty deep water too. There was only an inch or two of the front bumper sticking out when stopped. The machine decided it was going to show me where neutral was at the wrong time. Sheesh! Oh well it was fun and because of that I made sure I pulled the swing arm and greesed the bearings at that time instead of waiting till I hit 25 hours. Long story short, They are a blast!

In my opinion the trails is what the Pred was made for! Only complaints are lack of reverse, but as others have said the 05' has it. And a slightly harsh front end. Nothing unbearable, just something you notice when jumping back and forth between different quads.
