Default 01 scrambler fox shock on a 01 trailblazer?

Will a 2001 scrambler fox shock fit on a 2001 trailblazer without any troubles?

I know that the rear shock will exchange on a 99 TB and 99 400 sport!

The 2001 scrambler has the long travel suspension. The 2001 Trailblazer does not. You may run into a problem with that. Look for one from a 99 and prior scrambler

According to Bubbascrambler, no. He has done this switch too. I guess the mounting point for the long travel shock is further back on the swingarm. But if you were to switch with one from a 99 and older (non long travel) then it should be a complete bolt-on. Your Sport's shock probably is in need of a rebuild

Correct big bad

I have actually done both Trailblazer and scrambler.
We own a 2001 Trailblazer 250 and I BOLTED ON A PRE-2000 fox shock w/reserevoir.
(Note: Scramber Fox shocks have reservoir, Sport Fox shocks do not have reservoir)

On my 99 scrambler I wanted long travel rear suspension, You must change the swing arm also.
The mounting point on the swing arm is farther back, allowing clearance to the cross brace on the frame behind the shock. ( I guess you could CUT AND WELD)

If you have a pre-2000 scrambler/sport or a pre-2003 trailblazer, they are NOT long travel rear suspension
If you want to convert them to long travel it will be necessary to change both the shock and the swing arm from a 2000 or newer scrambler or 03 or newer trailblazer.

Just as a note: To change the swing arm you must have a 2 3/4" socket to remove and install the bolts hoding the swing arm to the frame. Channel Locks will not work.

Would a post 2000 scrambler shock work on a postr 2003 Trailblazer? I have a 2005 trailblazer 250 and I am looking to replace/upgrade the rear suspension as well. Since aftermarket rear suspension is unavailable I was hoping to find something from another bike.

Don't know if this helps, but any other shock you would have to match eye to eye length to see if it would fit.As far as a Fox shock working, don't know. Cheapest oem stock shock for your 05 I've found was at Cycle Parts Warehouse for 96 bucks.
