I CURRENTLY HAVE A HONDA RECON, AND WANTED TO MOVE UP TO SOMETHING FAST WITH 4 WHEEL DRIVE. DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH POLARIS SCRAMBLERS, AND ANY PROBLEMS THAT THEY ARE KNOWN FOR. I AM PROBABLY GOING TO USE IT FOR TRAIL RIDING WITH SOME SMALL JUMPS, AND MUDDING. ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS FOR A GOOD QUAD WOULD BE APPRECIATED ALSO.

I DEFINITELY NEED SOMETHING FAST, AT LEAST ENOUGH TO KEEP UP WITH A YAMAHA WARRIOR

If you want a Scrambler for trails you need to find a 2000 up 500 Scrambler and add a HDP chain tensenor for jumps.400s are great for speed but dont have the grunt that the 500s do.

i would get a 400 4x4 99 if u can, ours never breaks at all!! and it does about 64 on the street stock. ive seen some on ebay lately. theyre fast and they should beat warriors. not great for jumps but have a chain tensor

you can't realy compare the scrambler 500 to a warrior. a guy down the road from me said he could "somke" me, he never had a chance

i would say get a scrambler 500 4X4, it can keep up with most sport quads on the trails and it will go through as much mud as the utilitys. as for jumping i usually jump small 4-5 footers no problem, but i wouldnt recommend going much higher with it...... get a chain tensioner if you plan on jumping

Recon99, you need to take a Scrambler for a ride. I think you will want one after that. It sounds like the perfect quad for your type of riding.

You can't gp wrong with the Scrambler. I had a 400 and buddy had a 500. Both are great quads. My other buddy has a warrior......I think it might still be a picture in my gallery, he never stood a chance when it be come racing.

from what you describe as your type of riding, i would definitely recommend a scrambler 500!!!!!

it is the BEST all around quad.

just find one and ride it. after that, you will understand.
