I was just kidding with you Chicken Man. I knew you were really happy with the ride and performance of your yellow 500SP. I am like you, I have more power now than I expected and am happy with the weight of my bike.

Good post Colorado. I was wondering how a 500SP, a new 500SP HO and a 500SP with Highlifter High Performance kit would compare?

Our local Polaris-Kawasaki-Suzuki dealer won't budge off of MSRP. He did tell me that once he finished selling his 2000 models SP500 they might do some dealing then.

Heck, SP500HO for $5999 now I might trade my Honda in on that!

Colorado: You drag racing that brand new Sportsman? WARRANTY-VOID. Just talked to your dad. We just advertised the Sportsmans for $6249 so am giving him $150 credit towards some new accessories.

Doohhh! I knew I should have waited to compare them. That's great ChopperBill I know he'll spend it plus some. He always gets all the gadgets he can. I don't think anyone around here can touch that price. I would almost consider getting rid of the brand new scrambler and getting one for that price.

i think $6400 is a good price for a 2001 sp500ho but silverado said his dealer is selling them for $5995. i think that dealer would prabaly add a lot to the final cost, like setup, frieght and then tax.

$6249 plus 3% sales tax. No added B.S. here. If you are a farmer or use it for a farm purpose there is no sales tax, just fill out a simple form.

both of our sportsmen's where $5999 with $150 in free acc. no gimicks. if anyone is buying in wisconsin, go to airtech sports in menomonee. they are great to work with and give great deals.

You said that your HO will almost bring the front wheels up off the line. My 2000SP500 will do that easily. I have posted elsewhere that it will ride a wheely while you are sitting on the seat with feet on the floorboards. Top end is around 62-63. I am waiting for the chance to run an HO to see how mine compares and if I need to buy a new bike.

What is the Top speed on your HO?

Greg
