i realize you can put it on a diet but the start of the thread was stock for stock. i dont doubt that they can be very fast. but i dont think a stock scrambler will beat a stock 400ex.

If you read my first post it says "Stock for stock they are pretty even. The ex might have a slight edge. But with just a pipe you'll leave the ex in the dust"

Yes they are both great bikes. I love my friends ex and ride it every chance I get. If I could get a second bike I would probably get an ex.

Everybody wants to beat a 400EX!...........................Dam, its good to be loved
A trailblazer, sport, scrambler, L etc. whatever you call them, they will never beat a 400EX. Even when you mod them to win in a strait line (and you do have to mod them) they'll still will never compare to a 400EX as an ALL AROUND SPORT QUAD! If you truely want to compete with a 400EX, start with a Predator and go from there. .02

hold on there ozark. you can say that the ex is the best all around sport quad all you want. fact is, i'll take one in a straight line drag and i'll also take him in the trails and mud. so, come to find out the ex isn't the best all around quad. oh yeah! i forgot rock climbing.
