Default How to check a stator

does anyone out there know how to check the stator on the polaris engines. A new one cost 309 bucks, so you can see I want to make sure mine is bad before I go down that road. The manual is a little confusing and and hard to follow and they don't give you any diagrams to boot!

I just fried a stator on my predator. Its a bit tricky but the manual should give you a voltage range that it should be at, Then your going to need a volt meter or fluke meter to test it. On my pred I think I took the wire from the cdi then to the coil was one test. I dont remember the rest. Yes your right no diagrams. But You should be able to figure out what is what.

I'd suggest check out rickystator.com. I had him rewind my the stator on my quad. It was like $100 or so. They were real helpful. I think they can answer your questins.
