which 500 scrammy clutch spring?

Default which 500 scrammy clutch spring?

hi guys.a friend of mine has a 02 scrammy 500,its all stock.he wants more snap from the machine but has no money to spend on a pipe and clutch kit,i told him just some clutch springs would probably make a difference but im not sure on which ones,what springs do you guys think will be best for his stock machine?thanks..

420, if you still have the stock primary spring for your 400, you could let him try that [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

yeah i still have it,you think it will be better than his stock spring?

Default which 500 scrammy clutch spring?

The stock primary clutch spring on the Polaris 2-strokes has a somewhat higher engagement rpm than the stock 4-stoke spring. So your spring on his bike should give it a somewhat harder initial 'hit'.

what about the driven clutch spring,will my stock one be better than his?

i think all polaris' sport atvs have the same secondary wich is red

Polaris white primary spring is good. I also went from the 58g weights that came in my kit, to some stock 400 scrammy weights (55g) and I like that better. That and a HPD violet secondary spring set on 2-2 is the best combo for the trails

i wouln't recommend an 2-2 position spring tension on any clutch,
that make belt slippage and low effiency,you'll need to wind
the engine every time you want to climb over and chain
sprocket will have an hard time.

and what do you recomend?i know hpd recomended the 2-2 positon for my clutch kit..

2-2 is fine, it will not slip on 2-2!
