OK. The primary, all you do is remove the center bolt and the 6 bolts holding the cover on. Then just replace the spring. Put the cover back on making sure to align the X's up. Torque the center bolt to 40 ft lbs and the 6 cover bolts to 90in lbs. The secondary spring requires the removal of the clutch. Just remove the bolt and pop it off. Have a friend push down on the helix to release the pressure of the spring so you can remove the snap ring. Be certain to pay attention to which holes the spring is in. If you arent too concerned about losing some top end, then set the spring to the 2-2 position. Much better for trails and hills. Then put it back together and push the helix in. Once the splines are meshed, about 1/2" from the bottom, wind the outer moveable clutch sheeve 1/3 turn counterclockwise and then push the helix all the way in. Hold it there and put the snap ring back on. Then reinstall the clutch and torque the retaining bolt to 17 ft lbs

good suggestions from bigbadscrambler about not changeing the gearing if you do a lots of jumping and hill climbing.
i'm currently running 12/38 sprockets on mine and i don't have any problem with the 4x4 system but i also run 29.5 in outlaws all the way around. So the ratio of my 4x4 system is all mest up anywhys.

I forgot i got my machine over at my dads b/c where going for a ride this weekend and he's going to haul it up north this weekend for me. So i wont get any pictures up till after the weekend. I have an explorer tranny in mine otherwise the original scrambler would never turn them in the mud. I had to modify the floor boards to get clearence in the rear and for clearance in the front also, more for the width of the 12 wide tires even with wheel spacers in the front. I'll get some pictures up as asap.
