Amsoil red is about the most Polaris friendly oil on the market, however pricey. I live in Utah and Polaris snowmobiles are a dime a dozen out hear. Everyone I know with either snowmobile or 4-wheeler loves the Ams red. The Amsoil blue is designed for a powervalve setup and should not be used without it. My 75 horsepower Scrambler runs on nothing but the Ams red!!
If you want to run the best oil you could it would be Redline Synthetic! (just under $50 a gallon!)

i think there some lying on there about amsoil,i'm not bashing it,but
the only thing a power valved oil will do in a scrammy 400 is build-up
cauze they dont have VES.i'll repeat it again, even the mineral oil
in the 400 work great, cauze it was built that way,i open up my engine once a while to see what in there and if you tell me you got great results with full synthetic stuff in that engine you're lying.
it doesn't take an oil that FAT into the 400.i run the normal quality
synthetic klotz oil,and even if i let idle too long you got carbon
build-up.

i think we're getting some missed info.
amsoil red as it has been called here is actually called Dominator 2-cycle racing oil. it is designed for 50:1 pre-mix or injenctor systems. it is used for high performance racing applications and formulated to keep power valves from sticking.
amsoil blue, well there are three others that are blue so i don't know to which is being referred to.
hp injector oil. used as a 50:1 pre-mix or in injection systems. recommended for outboards, atvs, etc. but not for things like weedeaters, chainsaws, etc.
Interceptor oil. while not recomended for outboards it can be used as a 50:1 mix or injector systems. formulated to prevent pwer valves from sticking.
the other two oils are recomended for 100:1 premix. depending on what your application is then either or is applicable.
so no, there is not a power vavle only oil and whoever told djole that was giving him false info.
hope this clears things up a little
