But there's nothing like the quick throttle response, amazing control on rough terrain, and airtime of the predator. My buddy has a yfz and paid > $1000 more than I paid and there is little to no difference in proformance. Both are fast, quick and a blast to ride. Neither one has a great advantage over the other. Except for the pred has slightly more top speed and the largest advantage of REVERSE. Wouldn't trade it. I don't race and could't wait for a red TLD. I guess I'm not a patient person.
little no difference in performance?, wow i hope to god your not talking about acceleration, handling or torque
Go figure....a yami owner...

The YFZ may be lighter, but doesn't handle any better and I have an 03....now the 05 TLD may actually out perform the YFZ.....

the pred weighs 415 pounds (well the tld does, dont know about standerd model)

I have always been wanting a v-force, but ever since the NEW tld came out, I have been thinking about staying with polaris...I like the idea of the close gear trans, and then I have heard about the improvments they have been making also....so it is hard to over look it now, and plus it comes in orange

I was thinking about a '04 Predator, but the '05 had a few very good deciding factors: better seat, higher handlebar, and reverse (and same price). Since I don't race, and I just wanted a fast trail atv, the pred was perfect. The only mod I am going to do (for now) is nerf bars.
'05 Pred

BTW, I started on a Sportsman700, and my 5 acre yard has a track complete with jumps. The 700 can fly, but the Pred does it better!
