Please give your reviews about the new Predators!!!! We want to know.....

 

The 05's are not out yet, they said they have been shipped.

 

Ok the 05 std. Predator is out now, and has been for a few weeks, Who has one?

 

I bought a standard 05 pred a couple of weeks ago and love it. Plenty of power and speed. Previous quad ( and still have ) a 2002 scrambler 500 4x4. The predator can go a lot of places I normally ride with the exception of deep mud. But there's nothing like the quick throttle response, amazing control on rough terrain, and airtime of the predator. My buddy has a yfz and paid > $1000 more than I paid and there is little to no difference in proformance. Both are fast, quick and a blast to ride. Neither one has a great advantage over the other. Except for the pred has slightly more top speed and the largest advantage of REVERSE. Wouldn't trade it. I don't race and could't wait for a red TLD. I guess I'm not a patient person.

 

Glad to hear you like it.....need to get some pictures of it. Have you ever sat on a 03 or 04 model? Just like to see if they are any difference in how they set. I was going to go to the local polaris dealer and check one out today.

 

I test rode the 04. The dealer let me take it for a weekend. The 05 has a couple of better features. The stearing stem is slightly higher which is much more comfortable and allows you to tkae advantage of the redesigned seat. The transmission is much smoother. Easy to find neutrual which was a pain in the butt on the 04. The standard 05 is geared a little high and it might be nice to change out the rear sprocket if you ride a lot of technical trails. Even with the current set up there is a lot of tourque at low rpms. As for pictures I'll try and get some on soon. But if you,ve seen the polaris flyer, then you've seen the machine.

 

i just saw it at the dealer today,along with new fusion 900.
the new pred look really nice,fit and finish has improved a lot
on these thing,the orange color with cool graphics design look
real good.nicest quad on market today,i still hope for a new 2 stroke version tough...keep dreaming but nice too.

 

Do they have the TLD in?

 

little no difference in performance?, wow i hope to god your not talking about acceleration, handling or torque
