Whats up with the weight change in the Dirtwheels 500 shootout? They list the Sportsman at 660 lbs. It has listed at 697 for the past few years now. I don't know of any weight saving changes that were done to it. Still, in the case that that is not a misprint, then that basically shuts down the overweight claim that the SP500 sometimes gets tagged with. Its only 15lbs. heavier than the AC 500.

Up to your old tricks huh Andy Bashum...hehehe I hope that is not a misprint on the weight, so are you ready to get into a sportsman yet. I really think you would like it much as you do the cat...I sold my cat to my brother and I do miss it sometimes. The cat is a lot better at balance and going down hills but to me the Sportsman has it beat in all the rest.

the test on the main page lists it as 697 lbs. 660 lbs would be sweet though... if it makes the extra 20% power it wouldent matter too much. its gonna be sweet!!

I think its a misprint. There isn't anything they took off of it for 2001. They screw things up all the time though. How about the Traxter being the first manufacturer to ever offer up stock 26" tires? They blew that one. Either that or Titan made a misprint on the side of the 495's that came on my 500.
