Default A couple questions

My friend has a 250 Polaris Big Boss 4x6, and the model # is: W908627. He doesn't know what year it is or even have a manual for it. He said he was driving it slowly and it made a big pop and stalled and won't start again. It cranks over really easy by hand, so I did a compression test and got 100 p.s.i. That seems like enough to run. But I couldn't get the plug to spark, so I put a spark tester on it, and could only get a really weak spark. Does anybody have the same model? Obviously the plug is fouled, but why isn't there a nice fat spark? Weak coil? bad ground? Does anyone have a mnual with resistance tests for the coil and cap?
I didn't really even look at it, but does it need battery voltage to spark, or is it straight magneto? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

well at least i know that its a 1990 model. the first 2 numbers after the W is the year.

i would definitely lean toward checking out any and all of the ignition components. with compression like that it should run purty ok.

let us know what you find out!

100 lb is a little low i would first get your spark goin strong, probablly a weak coil. check your SP wire too may have a short or pinch in it
