what are you wanting to do? my dad owns a sp700 and a sp400. both have been great quads. the sp400 is very smooth and does alot of the working. the sp700 has alllooot more power, but more vibration at lower speeds. ive never rode a sp600 but i can guess it would be a great quad

to tell ya the truth for trail riding and mud go for the 500, more proven and im sure the 600 is great to but the 500 is a little bit quicker off the line not as much top end and it also has the pull starter for when your in the middle of nowhere adn your battery dies. i also like the fact there is only 1 piston for more tourq. for what u want to do with it sounds like the 500 would be the better quad but the 600 is probablly great too.

Uhh, the 500 doesn't have more torque than the 600. Polaris advertises the 600 with 25% more torque than the 500 anyway.

are you going with new or used. I recently bought two 700 EFI's with the 04 rebates. my cousin just got a 700 carb version for $6565 out the door including tax, title, and orv. the sp600 is priced at $6100 otd. these are awesome prices and they sure beat paying full price for an 05 or the high costs of used models. I can already tell my EFI is gonna work great this winter cause ya just start it and go. the carb version my cousing just picked up has to warm up for about 10 minutes otherwise it wants to bog out. my quad is in the shop right now for a recall and I'm having them install a warn 2.5ci winch and glacier plow setup. time to make some money this winter and pay for itself.

i have raced a 600 with my 500 and can take him off the line pretty good, until i top out then he can catch me and pass,id say the 500 has lots of torque. They advertise more torque on the 600 so you will buy one therefore there getting more money, thats just my thoughts
